Walla Walla Choral Society's Artistic Director
Robert (Robb) Harrison, the Choral Society's Artistic Director, brings to us multiple talents in the world of music. A native of Eastern Oregon and Washington, Robb grew up with music as a constant companion. Three music degrees and a whole bunch of life later, he has had the great fortune of performing and playing throughout the United States and abroad as a professional opera and musical theatre singer.
Robb and his wife, Meg, spent ten years in Salem, Oregon diving into the world of education. Teaching choir at the high school and middle school level continues to be a great passion for him, and he thrives on showing his students that they are capable of so much more than they believe. While in Salem, Robb was also at the helm of the “Historic Elsinore Theatre” for their musical productions as music director and conductor. Robb, Meg, and his two daughters, Emma and Haddie, are now back home in the Walla Walla Valley. Robb is excited to be teaching choir and drama at College Place High School and Sager Middle School in College Place, Washington.
In Robb’s words, “I am beyond thrilled and quite honored to be the new Artistic Director for the Walla Walla Choral Society. This organization has a long and rich history of excellence that I am privileged to now be a part of. I want to share the love of singing and music making with our community and the surrounding areas. You know, being a part of a choir is being a part of a family. It can provide such vital support and community for one another. I encourage you to come join, or at the very least support this amazing group of people. We are here for you!”
